PenFed (Pentagon Federal Credit Union) today announced that as part of its community service efforts, the credit union will celebrate the men and women of the U.S. military through its sponsorship support of the Postcards To The Troops program at the 2014 National Cherry Blossom Festival.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is the nation’s greatest springtime celebration. The Festival runs March 20 through April 13, 2014; and includes three spectacular weeks of events featuring diverse and creative programming promoting traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit. The 2014 Festival commemorates the 102nd anniversary of the gift of the cherry blossom trees and the enduring friendship between the United States and Japan.

Each year the Festival collects approximately 10,000 Postcard To The Troops postcards with attendee messages and well wishes, and shares them with military service members. This year the program is sponsored by PenFed and the PenFed Defender American Express
